A Settlement has been reached with MedQ, Inc. (“MedQ” or “Defendant”) in a class action lawsuit. This case is about the targeted cyberattack on MedQ's computer systems that occurred on or about December 26, 2023 (the “Data Breach”). Certain files that contained private information were accessed. These files may have contained personal information such as names; Social Security numbers; Driver’s License numbers; dates of birth; health information; subscriber ID numbers; diagnoses; lab results; medications; other treatment information; health insurance and claim information; provider names; and dates of treatment.
The lawsuit is called Klepper, et al. v. MedQ, Inc., Case No. CJ-2025-6048. It is pending in the District Court of Oklahoma County, Oklahoma (the “Litigation”). MedQ denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties have agreed to settle the lawsuit (the “Settlement”) to avoid the costs and risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the litigation.
Class Members are defined as “All persons residing in the United States who received a Notice of Data Breach letter from Defendant.” Class members are entitled to benefits under the Settlement.
